Local HBO Asia Originals The Accidental Influencer, starring Shu-Yao Kuo, premieres February 10 on the streaming service


Leading telco company Taiwan Mobile has expanded its entertainment offering by adding Warner Bros. Discovery’s regional streaming service HBO GO.

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Taiwan Mobile is offering a special promotional annual subscription price of NT$69 per month available from February 1-14 (regular price NT$90), giving users access to some of the world’s most iconic shows and movies, with simultaneous streaming on up to three devices.

Discovery, said: “This new collaboration with Taiwan Mobile will substantially grow our streaming scale in Taiwan. With thousands of hours of premium entertainment on HBO GO, customers can enjoy award-winning shows from Hollywood, as well as stories from across the region including the upcoming original, The Accidental Influencer.”

New HBO Asia Originals series, The Accidental Influencer, a Taiwanese comedy-drama series starring Shu-Yao Kuo, will premiere during the festive period exclusively on HBO GO on February 10. The local Taiwanese series follows the life of Red Ho, whose hope for a perfect life is dashed when she is suddenly dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday. She turns to social media to air her grievances and is met with a surprising outcome, where she rediscovers her independence and embarks on an unexpected journey.

HBO GO is available with Taiwan Mobile from February 1, 2024.
