Chief Executive Officer
Louis Boswell
Louis Boswell is the Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Video Industry Association. As CEO, his remit is to lead the industry through championing all broad based initiatives that result in a more vibrant and healthy video ecosystem. Chief Policy Officer
John Medeiros
John oversees AVIA’s anti-piracy and regulatory activities and leads the Association’s programme of engagement with regulatory officials on behalf of the pay TV industry. He also coordinates education, legal and enforcement activities related to intellectual property. Prior to AVIA predecessor, CASBAA, John spent most of his career in government relations work in Asia.
Director, Policy & Research
Clare Bloomfield
Clare is responsible for delivering a comprehensive picture of industry regulation across Asia, along with regulatory reform and engagement with relevant governments on behalf of AVIA members. She joined in September 2017 having previously worked as a UK diplomat at the British Consulate-General, Hong Kong, as well as in Washington DC and Pakistan.

Rachel Lau
As the Regulatory Assistant, Rachel assists the Chief Policy Officer and the Director of Policy and Research in organising events and meetings, as well as researching the latest regulatory developments in the industry. Outside of work, Rachel is interested in visual art, audio storytelling and geocaching.

Neil Gane
Neil previously spent 12 years with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) where he held various senior executive positions in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, and was responsible for developing and implementing content protection and advocacy strategies in 13 countries. He first moved to Asia in 1987 as a Royal Hong Kong Police officer, finishing his service in the Diplomatic Protection Unit of Special Branch, before joining multinational risk consultancy Hill and Associates.
Operations Manager
Jason Chan
Prior to joining CAP, Jason was the Content Protection Manager, Asia Pacific Hub for the Motion Picture Association (MPA), where he assisted in developing an online content protection strategy and spearheaded its implementation in key Asia Pacific markets, which included administrative and judicial injunction relief operations across the region. He also guided investigative efforts on high-profile copyright infringement cases in Southeast Asia, including ISDs and emerging content distribution technologies.

Jane Buckthought
Jane promotes the power of pay TV through research by working with agencies and broadcasters to better understand the markets of Asia. When away from the office, Jane indulges in walks in the rural areas of Hong Kong with her dog, enjoys the beach in the summer, and savouring a glass of wine with a good book, movie or, of course, a great TV programme.

Anjan Mitra
Anjan leads AVIA’s India initiatives and represents the interests of the organisation’s member companies active in India’s pay TV and related telecoms and new media sectors. Before taking his current post, Anjan, with a journalistic background of over 20 years, was the Executive Editor of India’s largest media portal, IndianTelevision.com.

Adela Chen
A seasoned event organiser, marketing and PR specialist, Adela has more than 15 years of experience in sports media, broadcasting and digital entertainment. Her experience in running live NBA games, sponsored events, press conference and the biggest scale B2B2C event in Asia has allowed her to forge a path in the creative services industry.
Director, Programme & Member Relations
Jaime Ng
Jaime is responsible for developing AVIA’s conference programmes, membership recruitment and retention. Prior to joining the association, she was the Director of Conference for Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) where she spearheaded the conference department. Her role included growing the firm’s portfolios in Asia and developing summit programmes for key shows including CommunicAsia and BroadcastAsia.

Mandy Tsui
Mandy is responsible for delegate acquisition and event logistics for regional and local events. She loves outdoor activities and enjoys the sunshine. She also cherishes every moment with her family and friends.
Senior Executive, Events
Michaela Sy
Michaela is responsible for speaker arrangements for all regional and local events and is the primary contact for day-to-day speaker activities and inquiries. She also provides pre-event, on-site, and post-event support for the team. A fan of horror movies, Michaela loves to explore nature while travelling; any scenic hikes or drives will catch her eye. She also loves reading and baking – her banana bread is the best!

Byden Neo
Filled with passion in Marketing and Digital Advertising, Byden is involved with all elements required to deliver partnerships including marketing campaigns (both online and offline), operations and fulfilment. He is a strong believer in constantly taking advantage of any opportunity that arises in order to outperform and lead by example. Off work, he is a part-time foodie head and loves to explore street fashion of different countries when he travels.

Tammy is responsible for member liaison at AVIA as well as keeping the Association on financial track and ensuring the smooth operation of the office overall. A keen globe-trotter, Tammy gets away from it all by travelling and cooking.

Suki Yip
Suki provides accounting assistance to the Head of Administration and Executive Office including financial reporting, analysis and reconciliation and the development of financial systems. An animal lover, Suki is proud parent to Pippy and Sam-Tung, her dog and cat.
Personal Assistant
Bonnie Kwan
As personal assistant to the CEO and Chief Policy Officer, Bonnie is instrumental in keeping the Executive Office organised as well as assisting in the daily operations of the Association. An avid singer, Bonnie has performed at various functions around Hong Kong.
