October 2, 2025 2:57 pmVidio, Indonesia’s leading local OTT platform, today officially announced the launch of Vidio Shopping, an innovative feature developed in collaboration with Shopee, the region’s leading e-commerce company. The feature seamlessly combines premium entertainment with instant shopping, allowing viewers to purchase products directly from their favorite shows without ever leaving the screen.
With Vidio Shopping, audiences can discover and buy products that appear in programs—from beauty items to gadgets—while continuing to enjoy uninterrupted viewing through picture-in-picture (PIP) functionality. The feature was fi rst introduced in an Alpha version in July 2025 during fl agship content such as the Premier League, Vidio Original Series Asmara Gen Z, and other top titles. Early adoption saw participation from both global and local brands, including Wardah, Samsung, Somethinc, Emina, Kahf, Make Over, Nivea, and The Executives.
Entertainment Meets Seamless Commerce
Unlike user-generated content platforms, Vidio offers curated programming that provides a safe and premium environment for brands. Products appear at contextually relevant moments and connect directly to Shopee’s catalog, making the shopping journey smooth, personal, and non-intrusive.
Since entering its Beta phase, Vidio Shopping has demonstrated strong traction. Daily average product sales grew by 41% month-on-month, with transaction spikes of up to 47% during payday periods. Viewing trends revealed that drama series, especially Indonesian soap operas and K-Dramas, drove 1.5x higher fashion and beauty purchases compared to other genres. As the “home of sports,” Vidio also saw strong engagement from audiences shopping while watching live football leagues such as the Premier League and BRI Liga 1. For the moms & kids segment, children’s animation ranked highest in conversion rates, at 1.2x above average.

Unlocking New Opportunities for Local Brands and Creators
Beyond global names, Vidio Shopping is also designed to empower local entrepreneurs and small businesses. The launch coincides with the debut of two celebrity-driven local brands: Manifest by actress Wulan Guritno and Denyut Semesta by actress-designer Asri Welas. Both brands are featured within Vidio Shopping and highlight how the platform bridges storytelling, lifestyle, and commerce.
Wulan Guritno, who currently stars in Vidio’s Original Series Mama-Mama Pengejar Cinta, introduces Manifest as a lifestyle brand inspired by the idea that beauty is a ritual of balance, not just appearance. The product line spans fragrance, diet, and detox. “We are thrilled to launch Manifest through Vidio Shopping x Shopee, making it easier for people to celebrate balance and wellness as part of their daily lives,” Wulan said.
Meanwhile, Asri Welas brings forward Denyut Semesta, a sustainable fashion label crafted from recycled textile waste transformed into fabric and batik. “Through Denyut Semesta, I want to raise awareness of how fashion can give back to people and the planet. Launching alongside Vidio Shopping ensures more people can support and own pieces born from sustainability and care,” Asri said.
As Vidio continues to expand its role as a homegrown OTT leader, Vidio Shopping marks a new chapter in content-commerce integration—offering brands, creators, and consumers alike a dynamic new way to connect.
