The Asia Video Industry Association (“AVIA” operating under Casbaa Ltd or Casbaa Pte Ltd) is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and stakeholders. Below is information regarding how AVIA collects and uses personal information. By accessing and using any of the AVIA-owned websites, including the Member Zone, or by registering for an AVIA-organized event, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. AVIA reserves the right to change, delete, and/or modify terms of our Privacy Policy without prior notice and such changes will be posted to this page accordingly. We recommend you visit this page and review this Privacy Policy regularly so that you remain aware of the terms and conditions that apply to you.

Collecting Personal Information

This statement applies to all information collected or submitted in personal contacts, through AVIA‘s websites, as well as information we collect at our live and virtual events. You voluntarily provide us with this information when you contact us, access or use our website, register for events, join our association, subscribe to our mailing lists, and/or request for members-only information. The types of personal information we collect include, but may not be limited to:

  • Name, job title and company information
  • Address • Email address
  • Phone and/or fax number
  • Credit/debit card information [only for those engaging in paid event registration]

In addition, AVIA uses Google Analytics to better understand the usage of our website. AVIA uses data collected by standard Google Analytics implementation, such as date and time of visit and type of browser/operating system used. All data collected by Google Analytics for AVIA remains anonymous and non-personally identifiable to AVIA. Use of Personal Information

We will use information we collect or obtain through these various means to:

  • Operate and manage our websites;
  • Respond to your requests for services and/or information;
  • Communicate with you about AVIA services, events, promotions, news, membership and other updates we believe will be of interest to you. These may be controlled through our Opt Out options (see Opting Out);
  • Send messages on behalf of our members, partners or sponsors. These may be controlled through our Opt Out options (see Opting Out);
  • Fulfill your purchases or registrations.

Third Parties

We may use third parties for the purpose of operating, configuring and managing our websites, maintaining and providing internal support for our database, and distributing our online, email, message, or web-based newsletters and other information. Any third parties contracted by AVIA to have access to the personal information we collect are contractually bound by a non-disclosure agreement. Please note that AVIA does not manage the privacy policies of third parties, you are advised for your own reference to consult their privacy policies instead.

Security

All AVIA employees are contractually bound by a non-disclosure agreement to ensure there is limited access to your personal information. However, there is always a possibility that your information could be lost due to hostile penetration of commercial servers, technical problems or theft from our databases by unauthorized users. While AVIA takes reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information is secure, we cannot guarantee against all eventualities. We do take particular precautions to protect financial information (credit card data).

Opting Out

In contacting us, or providing us with your personal contact information, you have consented to receive communications from us. We will send you emails regarding events, news, updates and promotions. You can manage your subscription preferences at any time by using the “subscription preferences” or “unsubscribe” link in the footer of each such email or by contacting us at commmunications@avia.org with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. Please note that you may not opt-out of transactional emails related to your membership or purchases.

Correcting and Accessing Personal Information

AVIA is committed to having the most up-to-date and accurate information about you. If you would like to review, correct or remove our holdings of personal information about you, please contact us at communications@avia.org. AVIA will, upon request, modify or delete personally identifying information, except for information regarding payments, membership or purchases.
