BENCHMARK BROADCAST SYSTEMS PROVIDES STATE-OF-THE-ART SPORTS PRODUCTION SOLUTION TO CIGNALTV PHILIPPINESJanuary 16, 2024 4:10 pm
CignalTV, the leading Pay TV provider in the Philippines, required remote production capabilities for their expanding sports coverage starting with the FIBA tournament in 2023. As a leader in engineering production systems and workflows, Cignal turned to Benchmark for a solution.
Benchmark’s engineering team collaborated with the Cignal team to develop a solution that would provide the capabilities that were required for Cignal’s rigorous requirements.
Benchmark arrived at a solution based upon the EVS XTGO. The solution consists of:
- A pair of EVS XTGo live production systems controlled by LSM-Go for fast sports replay action.
- IP Director, a Live Production Asset Management (PAM) suite IP Director for live media content browsing, control, editing and playout.
- XTAccess, acting as central orchestrator for all job requests, and providing robust and high-speed transcoding operations.
- Additionally, the solution proposed by Benchmark included Xeebra, a Multi Camera Review System with Video Assisted Referee (VAR) technology. This system was recently also deployed in Singapore to cover the FIBA G League.
Benchmark delivered, provisioned, and is providing support for the EVS ecosystem for Cignal, working closely with Cignal team during the event to provide comprehensive support both onsite and online.
